How long does a piercing take to heal?

- Navel: 9–12 months.
Proper aftercare such as saline rinses twice daily and keeping hands away during healing — make a significant difference.
What jewellery do you use for initial piercings?
We use implant-grade titanium (ASTM F136), implant-grade surgical steel, and solid gold. All materials are hypoallergenic and nickel-free. We do not use mystery alloys or acrylic for fresh piercings.
Is it safe to get pierced at Shadow Show Tattoo?
Yes. We follow strict hygiene and sterilisation protocols, use single-use needles opened in front of you, and maintain a fully sanitised studio. We also assess your anatomy and medical history before proceeding to flag any contraindications.
Do I need an appointment, or do you accept walk-ins?

What is the minimum age for a piercing?
Clients must be at least 18 years old, or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian if under 18.
Can I change my jewellery before it's fully healed?
We strongly advise against it — changing jewellery in an unhealed piercing is one of the most common causes of irritation, infection, and migration. Once healed, we’re happy to help you select and fit a new piece.
